Pros: Always take your kids with you., Remember that heat exhaustion can set in even on the mildest of days., Keep your keys out of reach, and don't let small children play in cars.

Cons: Never leave children alone, even during quick errands., Never leave children alone, even with the windows cracked., Leaving children alone in a car can result in criminal charges in several states.

Nine years, one state: 41 Texan youths have died from heat exhaustion after being left alone in cars in temperatures as mild as 73 degrees.
