Hi, today I'm going to be reviewing the Mac mini by Apple Computers. It is one of their newest lines of computers that they currently have out. A slim, stylish, beginner Mac for those of you looking to switch over from the PC. This particular model is called a Super mini because it is maxed out with all of the upgrades it can get. This current one has 1.4 GHz processor, 521 MG of memory, an 80 GB hard drive, and a 56K modem. Some of the pros of this computer are it's a great starter Mac for those of you looking to switch from PC to MacIntosh. cheap model, roughly around $500 to $600 for the base computer allows you to switch easily to see if you like it without having to spend al the money for the laptops or the large G5's that they currently have out. Another bonus of this is the noise that it produces. A very quiet computer. When it's powered on and you're using it on your desk, you can barely even tell that it's on. Very silent. A third pro for this computer is its size. As you can see, roughly 6 inches by 6 inches. It fits nicely on your desk, under your desk, anywhere you want to put it, allowing a lot of room for you to do other stuff on your computer table. Some cons of this computer, however, are that it is a beginner Mac. For those of you looking to step up, maybe use Adobe's art programs or Final Cut Pro, After Effects, anything of that nature, it will bog down a little bit. I don't recommend this for any high-powered programs. Anything likes that it, it does all right in the beginning, but it will slowly start to bog down as you fill up the hard drive and so forth. Another con of this product is the power cord. This is the main problem I have had so far with this computer. As you can see, quite a large transformer here in the center of the power cord. Very cluttersome, bring up the computer here. As you can see, you know, the same width, almost half the size of the computer itself, which kind of limits its portability. Bringing this in your bag, it really bulks things up a lot. And while together they're not much, this can get in the way having to plug it in everywhere you go, and this and that. Another problem is the adapter for the power cord. As you can see a very small plug in here. [Tape stops here]
