Does the battery in the iPod last forever?

Batteries have lifespans. This kind of thing happens in cell phones, laptops. digital cameras, and mp3 players everywhere. This same thing happened to me with my iPod, and I ordered a third party replacement for $11. You need to understand that 1-1/2 years of casual use on any product will wear out the charge on the battery.
