All right guys, today I'm looking at the Armada Ar5 Ski. This is from the 05 06 season. I have even made it to the Rossignol Scratch 120 series Binding, very good Binding. I would definitely recommend that as well. Now, as far as the ski goes, it's a heavy twin toe. Now, some people might disagree with me when I say it's heavy. But compared to the other skis and along the same line such as the Kneissl and Teneti, it's definitely a heavy ski. Now, it's lighter than lot of a twin tips. Now as far as the other skis go, it's about 85. So, other skis definitely have an out level, but for a drummer ski, it's pretty wide. Handles the power well. It's a very good all purpose ski. Now, it's twin tip, which means both sides have a curvature. So, what that's for is landing switches backwards. Now, if you are new into skiing, you are probably not going to need something like this. This is around $500 a ski. Fairly limited production, hard to find. Now, it's very popular, so if you're getting into the freestyle scene and you have been skiing for a while, it's something that you might want to look into, it's definitely a performance ski. The only gripe myself and most others have, is the top sheet, the linoleum on the top right here, can chip very easily. If you can see, I've some chips out right here from crossing my skis. And somehow the base holds very well however. Holds the wax very well, thick edges, thicker than most skis in the line. Great for rails and what not, like I said it's a freestyle ski. So, I would definitely recommend taking this up, as long as you are in the market for it. It's not a ski that you just want to jump into skiing with and buy it cause you should take a look before, because you're going to have a hard time. But I would recommend it if you're looking for a high performance free style ski.
