And a greetings once more Expo TV. This is Holsem 920. I've got a DVD review for everybody now with all good films series. There has to be a failure at least once. And in the case of the Austin Powers series it was there third and so far final film. Austin Powers in Goldmember. Yeah I'm gonna give you to look at the cover there. These movies were the first two really define just a tunnel lapse. This one seems to fall flat in most cases. It just doesn't add up and there are few reasons. Number 1. The new character who Mike Myer's plays by the name of Goldmember who is a Dutch and he has his genitals horribly burned in a bizarre melting accident. No I'm not kidding. The character is horrible. In fact I'm gonna say right now the character sucks. He isn't nearly as likely as Austin Dr. Evil or I'm not sure if I can say this on Expo TV but I'm going to anyway Fat Bastard. Goldmember is not nearly as entertaining as any of those other characters. Also the ending I'm not going to spoil the ending for you guys. I'm just gonna say this the ending is gonna have you wondering why you wasted an hour and a half watching this. However though with all that said and the movie being just average fair there actually is a few positives. If you have a DVD Rom on you computer this has an awesome program called the voice over studio where you can actually re-record lines from the movie. They actually have a handful of scenes and you just push record you select one line and then you just say it. And you try to say it as best as you can and sink and then they will adjust and then the program will adjust the video to match your dialog as best as possible. It actually is kind of cool but it actually does where a little thin. Honestly this one guys I can only tell you to go out and rent it. It's not nearly as good as the first two. That's Austin Powers in Goldmember guys. Giving it 3 out of 5.

Summary
Despite symptoms of sequelitis, Austin Powers in Goldmember is must-see lunacy for devoted fans of the shagadelic franchise. Unfortunately, the law of diminishing returns is in full effect: for every big-name cameo and raunchy double-entendre, there's an equal share of redundant shtick, juvenile scatology, and pop-cultural spoofery. All is forgiven when the hilarity level is consistently high, and Mike Myers--returning here as randy Brit spy Austin, his nemesis Dr. Evil, the bloated Scottish henchman Fat Bastard, and new Dutch disco-villain Goldmember--thrives by favoring comedic chaos over coherent plotting. Once they've tossed Austin into the disco fever of 1975 (where he's sent to rescue his father, gamely played by Michael Caine), Myers and director Jay Roach seem vaguely adrift with old and new characters, including Verne Troyer's Mini-Me and pop star Beyoncé Knowles as Pam Grier-ish blaxpo-babe Foxxy Cleopatra. A bit tired, perhaps, but Powers hasn't lost his mojo. --Jeff Shannon
