Do these speakers work well with your home audio?
the speakers are very particular by luck. My Sony surround sound amp(5-6 years old) is the one that does a horrible job with these speakers. Like I said it just doesn't put any power out, no matter how I tweak the audio settings. That amp has a high max wattage out but it just doesn't seem to every use it. My guess is that it does so poorly because it was designed to have an external self-powered subwoofer. I have an older (10 years-ish) Aiwa amplifier that is also surround sound capable that sounds great with these speakers. I actually have to turn the bass down or it may become overwhelming. This amplifier also has a pretty high wattage out and has a jack for external self-powered subwoofer. Both of my amplifiers were in the $150-225 price range. And something else that you might find interest to know, I do not use either my of amps in the surround sound configuration. I just have them setup with the Bose speakers for stereo (L/R channels) sound.
