Battlestar Galactica 's Edward James Olmos wasn't kidding when he said "the series is even better than the miniseries." As developed by sci-fi TV veteran Ronald D. Moore, the "reimagined" BG is exactly what it claims to be: a drama for grown-ups in a science-fiction setting.

(Inaudible voices) (From the movie) Incoming 72 sonar fighters closing at 1-2-0 mark 4-8. Enemy suppression fire all batteries execute. All batteries commence firing. (Sound of artillery firing) Battlestar Galactica. I am a fan of the original series. I like some of the storyline changes and I am particularly caring for the new Galactica but it is just my particular taste. The [Xylons] are just . . . I don't know. I just like the classic. Here it is Battlestar Galactica. I will show you the disc. Here it is. Disc 1 is Battlestar Galactica Season 1. It is season 1 here. All the discs pretty much look the same. It's a nice series good series. I am glad on TV they are supposed to be unlimited. Next season is coming up soon. Again I am a fan of the original series and the comparison to both I say I like the classic a little bit better. It is more of a brother buddy-buddy kind of thing. You know it didn't have all the women in military which I am not against women in military but you have a brother-brother relationship with your fellow soldier. And with the women in there it was sort of like "Well now a boy-girl relationship is more of a standard or clear relationship kind of a thing. It is like brother-brother not brother-sister and it is just kind of mess up the genre of what was going on. Only Moony and I just suffered a little bit of the different subject. However the [Xylons] are going human and that was later in the story of the original series but they kind of advanced it and forward it here. I don't know. It is just that I didn't particularly . . . I mean Boomer was a cool black guy that kicked butt in battle. Now Boomer is a [Xylon] and Asian woman [Xylon] who doesn't know what is going on to her until later on. It is just not ruining any plot lines or anything but it is just kind of confusing for some of you who are already fan of the older series. But it is just my opinion. But Brian and I have enjoyed it.
