Not the best quality for Britax, but the only 5 point car seat for kids up to 53" and 80lbs. Britax Regent Onyx, Car Seats, Baby & Kids

Tonight I want to talk about this car seat. This is a Brytex sit up straight so they can see. You see that I have strapped my son in here for you to have an idea how it fits. And his age weight and height so you have an idea how it fits your child. As you can see it is very easy to buckle. And they have nice little belly caddy. We only use the belly caddy for He has taken them off but they you can leave it on this one because it seems hard to get on. He is able to buckle the top by himself. And it has a little catnip hugs system. I don t really see much point in it. And I don t really worry now he is older. And he is actually not going to slide around. That makes everything really more difficult. The one thing I don t like is this comfort pads. They just don t seem to be big enough. They seem to be a little cheap. I just belt it right on. It will be very easy to get off. And I just think that it doesn t really covers the neck very well. As you can see I mean no matter what it is not going to cover his entire neck at any point in time. So I kind of think it is pointless. As you can see he is on the second strap up. So they get flat. He is two spots ahead of them probably good for another four to five inches. He is 44 inches tall weighs 38.5 pounds. So like what he has on right now. And my kids like to wear clothes like jeans and sweatshirt and a jacket he weighs about 41 pounds. So we went ahead and got this one for our 40 pounds. It is not my first choice of what I would like. But it was about the only choice I had left because he is so tall torso-wise. As you can see he is playing with the strap right here. It has a nice Velcro covering so your little ones don t get in there by themselves. Of course by the time you are buying this car seat they are not going to be that little. And they should last with it. This is a forward-facing only car seat. And it is for kids 22 to 80 pounds. Thank you very much for your modeling. I want to get back the seat I ll have a picture please. It is for kids 22 to 80 pounds. And it is forward-facing. Like I said I don t really like it for a 22-pounder. I don t think that it has enough side impact protection for that. There is not much on the side on it. For in order to when they get taller it is the only choice that you have left. So that is what you have to go with I guess. We turn it around so you can see the back. It has this recline bar which be installed. We are disappointed with Brytex because on all the [indiscernible] says nothing about it. At Toys R Us we have tried this in my car. And it didn t show anything about this and it wasn t on it. So we were concerned on how it will fit into my car. Now I have a Honda Accord. And I put this car seat in and it fits perfect. But now with that recline bar I am not so sure. Also I don t really care for the top header strap. It is kind of weird. Compared to all the others I am not exactly sure why it is not designed like the rest of them. But it is just very odd. It does have latch straps that come with it. And the latch straps are designed like normal which I find odder. They have put this style strap on the top. So there must be a reason to it but I don t know what it is right now. The latches are very nice and easy to get out. They are made by a very good company so that is a good thing. You do have to unthread it to redo it. But there is nothing wrong with it. There are no issues. It is very easy to get in and out. As you can see here are the four slots on the back. And it is very easy. It does have a pocket for you to keep something in. If you don t use the latch once they hit 48 pounds you are not to use the latch because that is what most of the requirements are in different cars. This is not approved for federal airline use. So you can not use this on airline. Either so this is something we have recliners before this and I absolutely love the cars. He has just grown too old and too big for the cars. And you car wasn t really made for the taller kids. I think they are just for the weightier kids. Because we had it and I just had to return it and it really didn t seem to work out very good. Once again this is the Brytex Regent. We have it on the onyx car which is black which is a nice soft fabric. And this is more like a cooler not weather but plastic-ky type fabric. I haven t like this part of the fabric. It can be use as a really nice excellent sweater. It also has these little pockets. We don t use pockets. That is kind of irrelevant to me. But anyway this is Brytex Regent onyx color. It retails for about $260. I like it. It would not have been my first choice if I didn t have to go with it. Pretty much it is the only choice for a larger child now though.
