What is the function of the ETTL feature?
Great review. The ETTL feature of this flash means that it communicates with your Canon digital SLR. The camera knows if you have the flash pointed up or directly at the subject and will adjust the exposure accordingly. If you are starting out with this flash, try using the TV mode of your camera and make sure your shutter speed doesn't exceed the sync speed (1/250th for a 30D for example).
