Pros: Entry-level price for a lot of advanced features, Produces very manipulative, RAW photo file along with a standard JPEG, Can utilize any of the Canon EF and EFS lenses.
Cons: Largest file it will produce is a 8.3 Megapixels RAW., It would not take much abuse with it's lightweight plastic body., It has a small 1.8 inch monitor size
I think this is an extremely good product. It's basically the bottom of the line but a very good entry level amateur/professional digital camera for one to start off with. Any of the lenses that you buy for it can be utilized on a higher grade Canon camera. I think it has a lot of functions that are very adaptable, and it's a type of tool that someone could utilize to very easily advance their skills in digital photography. Because it is an entry-level camera, and is priced at least a third less or more than some of its bigger brother's, it still has a lot of advanced features that could greatly benefit emerging professional photographer. I think it's very good value for the money.
