Hi this book is called Click Clack Moo: Cows that type by Doreen Cronin and pictures by Betsy Lewin and it is a Caldecott on her book. Basically this book is about a farmer who realizes he has a problem. That he has cows that have a typewriter and they know how to type and they start making demand like umm they want an electric blanket electric blanket and the farmer says no way So then the umm cows said okay no milk today. And the farmer gets frantic and umm soon the chickens joined in and they're like well no eggs you know and as we get what we want and umm and so the farmer started typing its own letters on the typewriter and basically it's a back and forth typewriter thing. And eventually the farmer and the cows makes a deal that they would trade the typewriter for the electric blanket to keep them warm but then the farmer realize he's got a new problem. The duck on the very last page got an hold on the typewriter and they say dear farmer Brown upon the skateboarding we like a diving board sincerely the duck--click clack quack-- click clack quack quackity clack quack. Umm I think this book is just like poet of words. Umm it has like a poetry field to it and when you ring apart the typewriters are umm the sounds the typewriter is going you really envision these animals doing the typewriter like it says click clack moo click clack moo quackity clack moo. Umm it definitely a good book for also teaching kids umm maybe some elements of umm letter writing note writing back and forth with typewriters and things. The pictures are also just delightful umm as you can see and the words are a little bit enlarged. They're easy to read maybe for first like in third grade readers. So I would definitely recommend this book. Umm again it's Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin and pictures by Betsy Lewin.

Summary
The literacy rate in Farmer Brown's barn goes up considerably once his cows find an old typewriter and begin typing. To the harassed farmer's dismay, his communicative cows quickly become contentious: Dear Farmer Brown, The barn is very cold at night. We'd like some electric blankets. Sincerely, The Cows When he refuses to comply with their demands, the cows take action. Farmer Brown finds another note on the barn door: "Sorry. We're closed. No milk today." Soon the striking cows and Farmer Brown are forced to reach a mutually agreeable compromise, with the help of an impartial party--the duck. But this poor, beleaguered farmer's "atypical" troubles are not over yet! This hilarious tale will give young rebels-in-the-making a taste of the power of peaceful protest and the satisfaction of cooperative give and take. Witty watercolors by award-winning illustrator Betsy Lewin ( Snake Alley Band , Araminta's Paint Box ) will make this a favorite for one and all, even if words such as "ultimatum" and "neutral" throw the younger set. (Ages 5 to 8) --Emilie Coulter
