Hi Expo TV. This is Jim and I'd like to review the DVD Close Encounters of the Third Kind a very exciting movie. I think one of the better '70s science fiction movies one of the better Steven Spielberg movies and it has one of my favorite actors Richard Dreyfuss in it. But it's I would say a science fiction but not to the extent that it's a way out there scary type of science fiction. It's more of a movie where they are having a close encounter with an alien life form. The movie is kind of confusing at the very beginning. There's spaceships and spacecraft flying everywhere and there's people gathering and then -- it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But then the movie starts to take shape and you start realizing that there's people that have been touched by this strange phenomenon and all of sudden they want to be where this alien beings are going to be. And so the rest of the movie really is -- probably about the last half of the movie is based on people trying to get to the place where the aliens are going to be coming. Very good music very good acting. The plot is believable. I think in some ways some of the scariest scenes that I've ever been a part of that really push you on the edge of your seat. Maybe a little bit too intense for younger kids but again it's more of a make-believe science fiction type of scariness and not so much a real horror movie type scariness. It has a very good ending and a very exciting ending. Again I think one of Richard Dreyfuss' best roles. Maybe Jaws might have been better but I think this was maybe one of his best roles and a movie that I really really enjoyed. I would highly recommend it. I would say on a scale of one to five stars I would give it at least a four maybe even a four and a half. Thank you.
