I use these while mowing the lawn on a loud tractor. I can't hear the mower at all and the sound is great.

I'm Chris and this is a review of the Creative Labs Noise-Canceling Headphones HN-505 and what these are is these are set of headphones for your stereo for your MP3 player and they retail it for around $40.00 which is a very low price for a set of noise-canceling headphones and what noise-canceling means is it has active components which try to reduce the background noise and these work pretty well. They don't work as well as pair of $200 Seinnheiser s but the $30.00 they're an excellent entry level noise-canceling headphones set. They are powered. It takes one triple A battery which goes into this little side compartment right here so it's out of the way and then there's an on It also has a self-adjusting head straps so there's no TBS clicking of the side. It just goes right on and stays right on just like that. They're very comfortable. They're very soft. The ear pad inside is very plush and the part inside that is very soft so they're very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They're not the best headphones I've ever used but they do cancel the noise very well. I use this when riding on the lawn mower listening to my MP3 player. It definitely cancels up the background noise of the lawn mower to the point where you can actually hear the music while riding on the lawn mower. The lawn mower is very loud and without a set of noise-canceling headphones it's really not worth it. You really can't hear music at all. It's not the same as listening to music on a good set of speakers in a quite room but it definitely cancels the noise enough to make it possible. So I give this a good rating the low price and the fact that they do work well enough to make it possible for me to mow lawn and listen to my MP3 player. That's the Creative Labs Noise-Canceling HN-505. Thanks.

Creative Labs' HN-505 over-ear headphones employ active noise-canceling circuitry to significantly reduce solid-state environmental noise, such as that on an airplane, to further your uninterrupted listening. Noise reduction is rated at 15 dB of attenuation at 300 Hz, which will bring welcome...
