available on the PC Crisis is a new first person shooting game available to high-end PCs everywhere. And let us dive in and take a look a little bit about the actual game player Crisis. So Crisis is a cool next generation game that is set on a tropical island (Sound of gun fire) a lush vegetated island that has a lot of dense scenery that you can see here. And the cool thing about Crisis is that everything is interactive. As you can see right now I am shooting down these trees and where I hit the trunk of that palm tree is where the trees will break. And that I can interact actually with the game play as these objects are part of the world. You see that I am pushing the branches of the tree. I am actually using them fro cover. And Crisis has been designed with amazing physics and graphics. Everything would operate as in the real world. You can see me targeting a barrel all the way down there. Shooting it lighting it on fire and sure enough it will explode. All these interactive features in the environment allow you to play the game in creative ways. Water effects are new with DirectX10. They look gorgeous. They mix real water. And everything every facet of the environment is interactive which is really neat. You can burn down buildings break down bridges even ropes have tensile strength. And you can just tell from the short glimpse of the game play that even though you are not interested in fighting all the enemies you can go and explore a lot of the world that makes it really cool to be a part of. So as you can tell Crisis is an amazing piece of software. But the downside of it all is that you need an amazing piece of PC to let it First and foremost DirectX10. That means you need Windows Vista and also great graphic cards in order to run the graphic set that I played and you just saw. Well if you don t have anything up to that. Well if you have an 8000 series video card or better you might be able to squeak by a little bit of the frame rate. Dropping a little bit it will be more choppy. But the computer is a couple of years back. There is no way that you will be able to play this game and its beauty. So the downside of Crisis is that it is a resource machine. This thing is absolutely impossible to play unless you have invested thousands of dollars of latest hardware. And perhaps this $30 game isn t the most wise of investments to upgrade all of your system components. But if you do have it it is a gorgeous game. It is by far the standard setting for I can be as far as PC gaming goes. And I would give it four out of five stars. We got that one star missing if you do have the ability to play the game in the first place. This is my review of Crisis [inaudible].
