Too many parts to clean for a simple cup of coffee

I wanted an all-in-one machine and many of my neighbors had this unit. For me, it has way too many parts to clean after each pot of coffee. The old paper filter is a lot more convenient. I do like the thermal carafe, though. It keeps coffee hot for hours without continued heating and the bitterness that comes with sitting too long on the heat.
