This is a CyberHome DVR 1200 DVD recorder. It records on DVR+R and +RW media. We've used it to record things that are playing from our satellite dish. We've also used it to record regular television as well as to convert many of our old VHS legacy tapes and family videos off on to DVD. This is the set of DVDs that we've created so far since we've had this. It's very simple to use. It has a very clear menu where you can select whether you are coming from the VCR or you're coming from the satellite dish. Very simple to use. I can set it up in the morning and have it record all day long while I'm gone at work and it has made it very easy to convert to DVD.
