Hello Expo TV today I will be reviewing my Dell Inspiron 6000. I have got Windows XP with Media Center loaded on here. It is good for pretty much everything I need it to do. I like to watch movies; that is why I got the 17-inch monitor. It is kind of bulky a little bit heavy in the knapsack but not too bad. It has got cool buttons on the front. You have a Mute button you have a Volume Down Volume Up that will be the Play or Pause you could Rewind you could Fast Forward and you can Stop with the one touch. You know I could actually manipulate the media player or whatever you are using to play your videos. You got the mouse pad to move around you have got two big buttons which are good. You have got of course your standard keyboard you got your Power button there and you got two USB ports on the side and then I got an additional two in the back and I got a monitor hook-up if I ever want to get a docking station or a monitor and I hook it up in my display. That is where the power goes. It has got an Ethernet network cable I can use a regular Ether cable or it has got a wireless in it so if there is a wireless around it will automatically connect this in Bluetooth technology. It has got a DVD burner. It is a little slower than my desktop so I do not use it as often but if in a pinch I need to burn a CD or DVD really quick I can use it and it will do whatever I need it to do. It will play the DVDs it will play any standard media types that you have got and it has been wonderful. I have had it for a little over a year and it has done everything I have asked it to do. Of course you have got tech support from Dell so that definitely helps. I have not had to use it but just knowing it is there is very comforting. I have got a 2 gig processor and 100 gig hard drive so it was a little more expensive or should have been a little more expensive but I got it on eBay so I saved myself about $800. This is about a $2000 package that I got for like $1200 - $1300 so that was not bad at all. I think that is about all. The battery that is in it lasts about an hour and of course you can switch to AC and charge the battery and then you got more you got infinite time. It does not run too hot unless you have it on a flat surface and even then it tends to cool down very quickly. The laptop I can keep it on my lap but I guess that it gets a little bit hot but it does not burn it just gets a little warm so it is not too bad. They have like trays to cool it down and stuff. I do not have any of that but it has not burned out on me yet so I am cool. That is about it. So if you are on the market I do not think you are going to find a 6000 anywhere and you might but not this one because this is kind of old but the Inspiron 6000 from Dell I definitely recommend it.
