Today I've got the Delphi Roady XT for my automobile, for the stereo obviously. It's the XM radio unit, which is XM satellite radio. We just got the subscription, both my brother and myself. And let me tell you, XM is a great way to go. I'm not sure about Sirius, but I've heard some people that have that, as well. For the most part, my brother and I, we stopped listening to the radio, because it's just garbage right now, and it's all the same songs. It's like a lot of the TV stations, all the same songs, all the same music. And who wants to really hear that, except some teenybopper. You know, kid, not us. We want to hear new stuff. I've been listening to XM a couple of months now, and I actually have bought a lot of new CDs of bands that I never would have ever heard of. And thanks to them, now I'm picking up new music that someone isn't playing constantly, so I don't hear the same three songs every day. Anyway, the XM Roady 2 right here, which I have in my car, is a great little unit. It's one of the units that you can buy in the store, and usually comes out free after rebate or very, very cheap, maybe around $10. And it's very easy to use, very easy to set up. All the account stuff is easy to set up, and it does have a wireless FM transmitter built into it, and it also has an audio lineout, so you can always plug it into your stereo in the system in the car, if it doesn't have a line-in connection. The only problem that I do find is that, you know, some of the wiring, if you do it yourself, and also the air conditioning duct holder for it, because there's like a little clip back here. You can see it, I'm sure. Right back there, it clips onto the air conditioning duct, and sometimes it does tend to fall off. I wish it was a little bit tighter, maybe not the plastic clips-and especially for a car like mine, which is a Grand Am-too many curves in it. There's really no way to actually do the mounting bracket, unless you really found a really good spot; but it might be just way out of the way for you. The only other problem with this unit, since it's a lower budget unit, is there's no scrolling feature, except for the stock quotes. And that's about it. But for the most part, this is a really good unit, very inexpensive into get the XM series. There are some really good ones out there, but they'll cost you. And also there's also some head units that will have XM built in. So if you're looking to get XM, check out the Roady 2 by Delphi. Delphi also has some other brands. Hit up XM.com and find out all about them. And a lot of the stores carry them, Wal-Mart, all those. Amazon.com has them. So check them all out, and go for it. If you're looking for new music, XM radio and Adelphi Roady 2 is the way to go.
