This is my review of the Eddie Bauer safety first cart toddler car seat. This car seat is meant for children that are 20 to 40 pounds in the harness restraining position. And then for 42 I believe it is 80 pounds as a booster seat used with the seatbelt where you don t use the harness part anymore. I purchased this for my daughter. And she is about 30 pounds right now. So she still has a long way to go before she outgrows this which is one of the reasons I like it if her head is nowhere near coming to the top of her seat. They have a lot of nice functions to it. It has got a five-point harness here. This one goes across the chest. It has got the nice padded shoulder straps so that the seatbelt doesn t cut into her neck. And then it has got the crotch strap here. It hooks in there. You simply pull this strap here in the front in order to tighten it. And in order to loosen it you just push the button right here. You just push that. And then you are ready to pull this to loosen it. This is not in here apparently. It has two armrests that are fully adjustable. You just push the button on the side for it to go up or down. They can either snap up or they snap down. They don t stop anywhere in between. The back of this here is adjustable as well. You simply pull this [indiscernible] here. And then you can move it up and down. And there are as you can see there are several different positions that you can lock her into for when you want to make sure that firmly they are hidden just slightly below the shoulders and not too far above because otherwise they can just slip out. Once you get passed 40 pounds and as long as the child s head doesn t come over the top of the seat then you can use this as a booster seat with your regular seatbelt. You got the [indiscernible] adjust up and down and in several different positions where you want the seatbelt to hit across them. And I can t think of anything else. Oh Here is the big reason why we purchased this because this was our first seat out since her infant carrier seat. She sits just like in the car at that point. This one has got this red button down here. It says pull to recline. You pull this and it can recline back It can recline actually in several different levels. So even as I am driving down the road I can reach back and if she falls asleep pull that out. And let it recline. It is safest in the upright position but you know every now and then if she needs to take a nap. It really helps solve it. Her hair is not falling all the way down like this. So this is my review of the Eddie Bauer safety first toddler car seat.
