Transcript of Featured Review

Hey there Expo TV it's Carl at this time bring you a review of Fargo. One of the best movie I've ever seen. This is a Coen Brothers movie just like The Big Lebowski which I've reviewed previously. Um but the Coen Brothers is also directed Miller's Crossing and the recent No Country for Old Man. So you know that the movies were very good. Um Fargo is probably their one of their best movies it's certainly one of the ones if you think of first you may think of the Coen Brothers. See the discs with The Big Lebowski or maybe O Brother Where Art Thou? But I don't think any has compared for it. Fargo is probably their best work. It takes place on Fargo North Dakota uh very with a number interesting local characters um like all Coen Brothers movies. It's about people pursuing money that hasn't really belong to them. Um the main actors in the movie include Willian H. Macy and Steve Buscemi. Um Steve Buscemi works as a as a hired gun by uh William H. Macy. He is hired to pick uh to kidnap William H. Macy's wife and hold her for a fake ransom that William H. Macy's characters father-in-law will pay off because he's very rich and William H. Macy's character is in a lot of financial trouble. So throughout the course of movie they go back and forth trying to get this money and people die and things go wrong. And it's just a very it's uh fun and interesting movie while still being serious in delivering a series message. It's one of my favorites and I'll highly recommend it to anyone especially just are not their great but worth buying the DVD. So I highly recommend Fargo easy 5 stars now here's some footage and stuff. Thanks.

Summary
Leave it to the wildly inventive Coen brothers (Joel directs, Ethan produces, they both write) to concoct a fiendishly clever kidnap caper that's simultaneously a comedy of errors, a Midwestern satire, a taut suspense thriller, and a violent tale of criminal misfortune. It all begins when a hapless car salesman (played to perfection by William H. Macy) ineptly orchestrates the kidnapping of his own wife. The plan goes horribly awry in the hands of bumbling bad guys Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare (one of them being described by a local girl as "kinda funny lookin'" and "not circumcised"), and the pregnant sheriff of Brainerd, Minnesota (played exquisitely by Frances McDormand in an Oscar-winning role) is suddenly faced with a case of multiple murders. Her investigation is laced with offbeat observations about life in the rural hinterland of Minnesota and North Dakota, and Fargo embraces its local yokels with affectionate humor. At times shocking and hilarious, Fargo is utterly unique and distinctly American, bearing the unmistakable stamp of its inspired creators. --Jeff Shannon
