This is the Fender American Deluxe Ash Stratocaster in Butterscotch Blonde, which I purchased about a month ago. And I would have to say, this is one of the greatest guitars that I've ever played. And I've been playing for around six years. So it gives you an idea of perhaps the amount of experience I have with instruments. And the most noticeable thing of course about the guitar before we even get into the playability is the finish and the color and the grain of the wood, which is, not sure if you could really see it, but the grain of the wood is incredible. It is Ash wood, which is a little bit heavier than the Alder the normal Stratocaster is made out of. And getting into the playability, the neck is very finely done with rounded edges; make it feel like it's already been worn in even though you only had it for a month. And the inlays are a pearl laid, and those are very, very nice. The headstock is free of most standard writing. Like perhaps over here, on some other Americans strats, there is a sort of trademark thing telling it's a trade contour body Stratocaster, or says made in Mexico on the Mexican standard strats. But nothing like that here. It's very shiny. The writing is in marred paint ink. I'm not totally sure what they for that. has lock-in tuners and the neck is maple; you can get the maple or the rosewood finger board. I chose maple and it's a two-piece neck. And the tremolo arm, this is one of the nicest parts of it. It is actually a pop out tremolo arm, which is wonderful because on the normal Stratocaster. As some of you who have played strats before know, they're screw in and that takes forever. And it's also two-point tremolo, modern sort of tremolo thing. And the FCN pickups combine with the S1 switching gives you first versatility that as far as I know is unmatched in any other strat. So I give this one five out of five.
