Hi this is Dan with my review of the Fuji Finepix S7000 camera. This camera has been going on three years strong for me now and it's still available to you shoppers there nationwide. This is an older model but with its basically up-one generation specs that I purchased a couple of years back it s still actually quite comparable to a lot of the models out there right now if albeit for a cheaper price which benefits you. This is a 6.3 I believe megapixel camera about a 6 megapixel camera that actually interpolates and dithers up to a 12 megapixel image quality. Don t be fooled though. The algorithm is not as good as a 12 megapixel camera. Although I still take them in the 12 megapixel setting you will want to basically do that in order to capture your best 6 megapixel quality. Nevertheless image quality is amazing and you can go to 11 x 17 prints off of these photos that can be taken. Now it s not an SLR. Despite being shaped like that the single lens refraction that s what SL is basically does not have a lens in the sense that you can look through and shoot but is actually an advanced funky point-and-shoot camera. It does have a lot of the pro features though: a hot shoe for external flash if you wanted to a built-in flash that actually has a red eye reduction slow flash exposed flash mode. Also this has a 19 total zoom 6 optical 3.2 digital macro two levels of macro super macro lens too. Let s see if we can see the I can t it s not on here but definitely very zoomed up pictures that you can get on this camera. The back side sports a nice display. Let s see if we can pull that picture that we just took right here and you can take a look at those images. Wow you can see that right there and the nice thing about this I mean you can even zoom in within the back of the camera to take a look at your large very large pictures. You ll notice here is it s taking a little while to actually zoom in but you can zoom in quite deep into this and you can even pan around that picture that we just took of ourselves here. So multiple a whole array of different modes and features. We have the auto for the point and shoot enthusiasts out there. Also panorama shutter priority manual focus. You have a manual focus ring on here too aperture priority and also a lot of special features like night settings night exposures burst mode one of my favorites. You can take a sequence of photos immediately in a row. And it also has such features as video recording 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second also in the 320 mode as well. This has white balance exposure compensation also has exposure lock so if you guys like to do photo stitching for panoramas take a whole series of pictures here and you can stitch it all together seamlessly if you use exposure lock. It takes Compact Flash and also xD. xD is not my preferred media so I just have a ton of Compact Flash cards. And one nice thing about this although it could be its bane too is that it takes four AA batteries and these four AA batteries can be any type. So its bane is that no it doesn t have a recharger that it uses explicitly. But you can use any type of rechargeable batteries that I would highly recommend a set of nickel-metal hydride batteries with a quick 15-minute charger and you have yourself an even better situation than some of those lithium ion packs that cameras are built standard with that you actually have to wait for because you have to wait a lot longer for those. Finally it has the standard tripod attachment there. You can get different lenses built on for this although it will have to be custom lenses as this doesn t have a standardized attachment. They have custom lens from third party for this model and also by Fuji which is its vendor. Excellent camera all around. I have thoroughly enjoyed this. If anything I could comment on this is that with the technology getting better its megapixels are showing a little wear and tear and it is a little bit bulkier than I would like and its response times are not as fast as a lot of the digital SLRs. But aside from that definitely four out of five stars. This is Dan and my review of the Fuji Finepix S7000 camera.
