Hello this is the GE DECT 6.0 digital interference-free phone system. This one is the one that has two handsets. Here's what they look like. There's the base; and a closer look at the handset you'll see that it has a blue lighting and it has a speaker phone a speaker on the back. It has a very large Talk button which makes it easy to answer your phone calls and to understand what all the buttons mean. It's very well laid out. I'll talk a little bit about some of the features of this phone. I'll just kind of read them and I'll go over why I selected them. This has the DECT 6.0 technology; it's interference-free encrypted frequencies call-waiting ID. It has handset speakerphone it's expandable up to four handsets. It has full melody ringtones room monitor intercoms with handsets; three-way calling; visual ringing indication volume control ring control and the handset jacks. So really that's everything. The most important of those to me is the fact that it has intercom between two phones and that's exclusive. You can actually be on a phone call and switch to the intercom mode to talk to someone else on the other handset and then go back to the phone call so that's very nice of them. Most important feature is the DECT 6.0. Most of the phones use 2.4 gigahertz of 5.8 gigahertz. But this one is DECT 6.0 which is actually at 1.9 gigahertz; they've stepped back in the frequency range. So they gave it a new name 6.0 so you know basically that it was a step in the future. But it is a lower frequency. What's special about that is that the frequency is exclusive to cordless phones. The 2.4 and 5.8 are getting very crowded with all the wireless networks and other phones. Even your Xbox 360 your microwave signals everything is on 2.4 and 5.8; so it's great to have one that's on exclusive frequency. I like the fact that it's all-digital. The clarity on this phone is much better than any other phone I've ever had even some that are digital so GE did an excellent job of that. The handsets on this are very nice. They're a little bit thicker than some of the other handsets you see but that actually makes them a bit better on the hand. It has a nice curve to it so it fits naturally in the way your hand curves. It's not sharp on the edges so you can really hold this and talk for a long time and still be very comfortable. The base does have a Page button on it. It has three-way calling even though it is only requiring one phone jack. That is your second phone base can be plugged in anywhere without a phone jack and it transfers the call to that room which is nice. Unlike a few of these phones that say because it only has one phone jack you can use only one handset at a time; this one you can have both handsets talking to some third party so that's very good to have. This actually was news to me when I found out that my last phone could not do that so I'm gonna be sure and mention that. But all in all it's a great phone. It has great clarity; the speakerphone is good; nice ringtones. Just everything about it works very very well. It costs around $80. It's the GE DECT 6.0 digital interference-free phone set.
