Goob here with my review on something I use every day. It is my GE Universal Remote. I have a Sharp TV behind me that I watch quite often but I lost the remote control years ago I didn't want to buy a new one from Sharp because they're a lot expensive so I went to the local radio shop and picked up one of these GE Universal Remote you can program to control your TV your cable box your VCR or your DVD player. I only have the TV behind me so I programmed it to control that and it's working fine ever since. It uses two triple A batteries I'd probably got through those two batteries in about a year and I don't watch that much TV. I put it on in the morning while I'm getting ready for work and flip it on at night to watch an hour or so TV before bed so it's not that much usage and yet after about a year I had to switch the batteries out I don't know maybe that's normal. The only weird thing about this that I will say is maybe once or twice a year and I have had this for about two or three years so it's happened a few times you can't see if there's another TV over there and that is an RCA TV over there it's not a Sharp TV completely different brand what-not but I will be lying in bed watching my TV controlling it with this universal remote and then let's say I want to turn the volume up or turn the channel down or mute it or something I push a button nothing happens on my TV but the other TV the RCA TV in the other room just turn on and suddenly my GE remote is controlling that TV. That's why I have to reprogram for my TV. I don't know if that's a one-time thing I've looked online a few message boards not that many other people seem to having same problems so I think it's just maybe like a ghost that lives in my remote or something I don't know. But other than that it works fine. There are a lot of different programming codes so if you have a Sharp TV or a Sony TV or something you might have to try like 20 30 or even 50 programming codes before you finally lock up with your TV in-sync through controller with the TV but it only takes a few seconds per code it's really easy the instructions tell you how to do it and you can even put your hands in position to where you just You push it up it doesn't work you push the buttons again it doesn't work and you just keep doing that until suddenly the TV turns of like okay I got it set up and then that's it. so the GE Universal Remote if you've got a bunch of devices around and you want to control them without having to get off the couch or out of bed I say just pick one of those up.
