This is a Garmin Forerunner 201 and it is a watch with a GPS built into it. So it's basically GPS unit that fits on your wrist. It is use really for running as it can keep track in your pace your location your route but since it has no antenna it doesn't get the best signal. So I won't rely on this with your life especially in the wilderness. But it is very useful if your going out for a run and want to approximately how far you are. Sometimes it can be off by a up to a quarter mile if it doesn't signal in a certain locations. But generally in most major populated areas this has a great signal from satellites. So it's a great tool to use on your runs. If not if you don't want it just use it for running it is a very useful watch as well. It has a great time; it's a very large time display. So if you're running in a 0:01:03.800 or something and you really need to look at those numbers you don't have to 0:01:08.500 to watch. This is a great unit to use. It's light weight few ounces and has a set of buttons that turns it on and has tons of options that you can easily maneuver through with the buttons and with the instruction manuals. This thing cost about $200.00 actually $150.00 in the store now. But it's a great buy.
