Today I'm gonna talk about the Garmin Forerunner 305. Now this is the newer version of the Garmin. The previous one was the 301 which I also had. This newer version is good in that it's a little bit smaller. When you put it on our wrist it doesn't you know take up as much space especially if you're like me and you have a smaller wrist that's a nice feature. It's got a lot of great features on the Forerunner. You can plan out routes in advance or you can go on a route and push the select button and it will tell you how to get back where you came from. If you're not familiar with the Garmin products they use GPS to figure out your location and the GPS also tells you how far you've gone then you can easily calculate the speed that you've been running or walking which is really great. And there's other features on there if you're doing an interval program you can set it to beep and let you know if it's time to take a walking break for example or time to speed it up a little. It's got a very very good memory. It holds a lot of past history of data that you've accumulated until you can get a chance to upload it to the computer and the way that you upload it to the computer is it comes with this little converter which will you know this helps to make the watch a little smaller. In the other version earlier the 301 version you actually plug right in to the watch itself but with this converter it allows you know not to have to carry all that extra technological stuff around with you when you run. And then you just use the included USB port to plug it in to your computer and upload the data. And then you can see your pace and your distance and all that. The great thing about this 305 which makes it different from the 205 which is also a newer version of the Forerunner is that it comes with a heart rate strap. So what you do with this is you just put it on under your shirt near your chest under your wrist bone and it will record your heart rate data for you and you can actually program the watch to beep to let you know you're going too fast your heart rate's too high or you need to be pushing it more you're not at your target heart level. So these things work great in combination to get you a really great workout. So I highly recommend the Garmin Forerunner 305 if you enjoy running or walking. Thanks.
