Hi today we will be reviewing the Garmin eTrek s Personal Navigator. Not to be confused with a GPS this is exactly what it says a Personal Navigator. For this item you need to turn it on outside in an open area so that it can gain at least three satellite signals strong signals. Since I am inside I will not be able to drum up those signals but they will be shown by a person down here with a solid line heading up to a satellite in the sky. If it is not a strong signal or a signal at all it either will not be there or it will be blinking. So again you will get three strong satellites so that you know your location and etcetera. Okay so basically the features here we have an LCD screen with a backlight we have the buttons on the sides for the power the pages that you can scroll through. We also have Up and Down buttons and an Enter button here. So basically what we have is a little computer in our hand telling us where we have been and where we go. Also we have a waterproof case and a battery compartment in the back very easy open and secure close twist a little knob there put your batteries in put it back on and done. Okay I use this exclusively for longitude and latitude findings. It is part of my job so that is how I use it. However there are other items that you can do other things you can do with this. You can use way points and mark your way along a path especially if you are a hiker and find your way back to where you started very important. Also for this sort of thing there is a hunting and fishing page and it also lists the best times for hunting and fishing for that chosen location and date. Very nice small portable Garmin eTrek s Personal Navigator get it.
