Hello Welcome to see out review. My name is Chase. Today I have the E-Trek 12-channel GPS made by Garmin. So what I use this for is a game called geo-caching. I am not going to get into it. But you can go to geocaching.com G-E-O-C-H-I-N-G dot com. And what this is good for if you hike you do biking; this is good. You can get it for about $100. Usually Target sells them. And what it does is it tracks it tracks three or four satellites in the air and that is called triangulation. And it will give you the exact longitude and latitude of where you are positioning. So when you turn it on it has to track the satellites first so it is doing that now. And that means that I am ready to navigate. So now I can look through the menu and it can show you my speed that I am in. so if I am biker or a runner. That is good. Because it can show you your speed; and for geo-caching what I use is the way points. So I add way points and find boxes in the woods. If you are interested in that and if you are like hiking and biking; go to the website geocaching.com. So you can do other things like maps trails routes. It is pretty nice. And in the back here this little rubber piece comes up. And you can get an extra accessory to download way points into the GPS or maps. So I find this very useful. I think that if you have a little bit more money go to the next one. It is a blue unit. And with that one you can do more maps more versatile as opposed to this one where it is just your basic unit. They made better ones also. Before this was like the lower brand GPS but now usually most people don't have this. They have other types of GPS that just came out. But if you are first getting into it I am sure $100 is steep. You can probably get it for $50 even. But so this is your E-Treks. And I am really happy with it but I think you should just graduate to something else if you get more into using it. So this is the E-Trek's 12-channel GPS made by Garmin. I hope you enjoyed my review and thanks for watching.

A few years ago, when personal GPSs first became available, every geek from here to Poughkeepsie was enthralled about the possibility of always knowing exactly where on the planet he or she was. While the Garmin eTrex isn't the most feature-rich GPS out there, it will definitely come in handy if...
