Today I will be reviewing the Harman Kardon 810 GPS unit. It's an excellent unit for any trip. It has a ton of features and blows competitions out of the water. I'm gonna be going over a lot of the different features and show you how to use them in this video. This right here is the actual unit and real quick and we'll talk about what comes in the box. You have the unit itself you have a really nice case to protect it when you're not using it. This has -- it comes with a very unique remote which I really like. I think it's one of the main selling features of this unit and I didn't even realize that until I bought it. It comes with this home charger. When it is connected it turns into a USB cable to put videos and photos and music on there. And then it also comes with a car kit so you can put it on your windshield. And then it is lacking instruction booklet that's detailed but it does have like the quick start guide. This is the main navigation screen. See if I can focus on -- you have the options of planning a trip you can check traffic which you have to pay extra for and you can change the settings. So right away if you hit the map it will show you where you are and it really calculates routes instantly. It's a lot faster than other systems that I've used. Another nice feature about this is you can multitask so while I'm looking at my map I can hit source and instantly it brings up this menu of navigation music photos phone settings and video. And I love this remote coz when you twist it like this you can change the setting so when you're adding addresses it takes a little bit longer to use the remote but I do it to know coz it's fun. It's also safer because you can mount this down where your hand would be naturally rather than having to touch up on the wind screen to operate this. So other than the navigation you can go to your phone you can go to your phonebook call history voice dial you can go to the dial pad and type in numbers. It doesn't allow you to watch videos while navigating for obvious reasons but you can listen to music and go back and forth between the music and the navigation setting so. This is a pretty little song that comes with it but so while it's in music I can press source and go to navigation. So it's really all-in-one unit and -- turn the music off real quick. Really nice features that comes with it. Three point five millimeter output for an audio jack so you can put in headphones or you can connect to your stereo and your car. It comes with the SD memory card slot. It also supports the high capacity ones for pictures videos all that kind of stuff. And then you can also directly connect it to your computer to upload that. Once again the navigation is very accurate. It calculates routes very fast. I don't think you're able to update the maps which is one of the few drawbacks. And that's really the only drawback though. I would highly recommend this unit. As you can see it has the internal antenna. Well that works great. Really no problems overall. Once again the remote is awesome like you can press the side buttons and it corresponds so found the source as its source and it will change it. Then it's hard to hold and move around but navigation is at the center button changes so. The map itself has a lot of different features. You can zoom in zoom out. There are different like modes like airplane mode and go way ahead. It's easy to just like move it around to see where you are. So once again this is the Harman Kardon 810 GPS unit. And I would definitely give it five out of five stars for all these features and also the menu is very fast which is really nice. So it doesn't lag behind like a lot of others. So Bluetooth music videos anything you can throw at it can handle. Five out of five stars.
