Are the Harry Potter films as good as the books? Is this one the best of all the Harry Potter series?

I'd honestly say that all of the HP films have failed miserably to live up to the books standards. That being said, I felt this one did the best of the five, but again - there was still a lot lacking. I actually felt the first part of the film was the closest to the book, but the changes to the ending really irked me. I was looking forward to the big, dramatic ending with the statues coming to life, but they dulled it down with the whole "friends" bit. I will say: the Ministry and Grimmauld Place looked EXACTLY like I pictured them. Amazingly so. Liked they entered my brain and pulled it out. Which I think says a lot about Rowling's ability for description.
