Hi. I have a device I'd like to show you. It's called the MediaMVP and it's made by Hauppauge. This is a cool device that you can use to access audio and video files that are stored in your computer, and then you can play those files back on your TV and stereo. It's very simple to use. It's got connectors for a power supply network, audio connectors, and two video connectors, one for S-Video and one for composite video. It comes with your network cable, it comes with audio-video cables, and it comes with a power supply which is really cool. It's very similar to other power supplies, except as you can see the bulk of it sticks out to the side, so when you plug it into your power strip it doesn't take up more than slot like a lot of power supply's do, so that's kinda cool, kinda unique. It also comes with a remote control. It's got all your standard features, pause, fast forward, rewind. It's got some extra buttons for skipping forward and backward. It's got some colored programmable buttons here that you can use for accessing custom functions. And, so all you really do, you just put it on top of your TV or your entertainment center, so you could see it's really slim so it doesn't take up much room. Plug in all the cables. You install the software that comes with it on your computer. The software will scan your computer for media files, and then you use the remote to access them on your TV, so it's as simple as that. One of the nice things about the MediaMVP is that I really am that it's compatible with third party software. So, for instance, there is a free program you can download called the MedialMVP Media Center, and with that program you can use this device to access TV shows that you've recorded onto your replay TV-PVR, or a missed TV-PVR. That's one of the features I like best about this thing. So, once again, it's the MediaMVP, it's made by Hauppauge, it runs about $80, and I highly recommend it.

Hauppauge's MediaMVP is a low cost thin-client device which bridges the home PC with home TV and A/V equipment, via Ethernet networks. It takes high quality digital audio (MP3 music), digital video (MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 videos), digital pictures (JPEG and GIF digital pictures) and other multimedia...
