For my birthday, my 21st birthday I did not want alcohol, I did not want to go to the bars, I wanted the North Face Heckler. Basically I've had crappy backpacks my entire life, but I splurged and got the North Face Heckler. It was $79.99 at Sports authority. The reason why I got it is because it has a giant pocket. As you can see it's a pretty big backpack. It has extensions where you can un-buckle and let it get wider. Also it has tighteners to tighten it, and what I liked the most about it and why I splurged to get the Heckler rather than something else was because the shoulder straps are padded and the back is padded as well. Now for those of you who like to go backpacking and go roughing it occasionally, the back is also hard. So whenever you want to go backpacking and you want to pack your essentials that is water and food you have the hard back that is able to support your back more and enable a better hiking trip.
