Hi, I'm Dan. Today I'm reviewing J. A. Henckels Kitchen Knives. This is the seven-inch Santoku to the Five-Star line. So basically they are between that and less than the Four-Star line. These are all the professional great knives, these are all forged knives not stamped. So they are nice, heavy knives, well balanced. It's got nice -- marks on the handle. And basically, between those three knives we're going to handle this -- which won't make much of a difference to me. This is a, you know, the best handle. This is a Santoku knife. It replaces a chef's knife. It can also be used in place of a Paring knife or a Cleaver that depends -- Along with that, we've got here -- a four-inch Paring knife. It's got a full handle, unlike most Paring knives, that's really wonderful, if you're trying to do some precision cutting. And the 8-inch bread knife, nice and serrated maybe a little bit tough for bread but it works, it really works. And also a matching 10-inch sharpening steel. Use it -- every, every couple of months to keep your blade sharp. And you have got Henckels -- then we've also got, these are all five star, these are a set of steak knives. You can actually get these ones that Target for about $50.00 for 4 --these are from their lower-end model or product line. But they store perfectly, so if you just need some decent steak knives those are the way to go. Overall the five star line lives up to its name. If you're going to consider getting knives and you want them to last for a good 20 years, get Henckels.
