Good review. You touched pretty much all the bases. I think it's one of you best reviews I have seen.
Thanks man. :) But c'mon -- there's gotta be something I didn't get right, or didn't find at all. Anything come to mind? I want to do a blog post featuring counter-reviews.
What a great car, by the way. Mazda's been doing a good job these days.
Well there is always going to be certain things you are going to miss depending on how indepth you want to go. You could have mentioned the TCS(traction control system) and DCS(dynamic stability control system). The car limits the boost in 1st and 2nd gear so you are not using the full amount of boost pressure in those gears to limit wheel spin and torques steer. There is a DCS dissable button on the left side of the dash so that if you need to spin your tire you will be able to disable the DCS. For example in winter conditions if you get stuck you will want to be able to spinn the tires a little to get unstuck.
Then you have the 215/45/18 Bridgestone summer tires. You deffinently do NOT want to drive on these tire in the winter. They are summer compound tires and are only good in 50 degree plus weather. So buying a set of snow tires is a must for this car if you get freezing temps.
GOing even further you could focus on the differences between the mazdaspeed3 and the regular three such as the flared out fenders and four wheel disc brakes. THe front brakes use an extremley large caliper and rotor from Volvo part of the Ford parts sharing system since Ford owns Mazda and Volvo they put the Volvo brakes on the car for extra stopping power.
It's all how in depth you want to take your review since you can always find even more details about the car.
