When it comes to Christmas decorating my husband and I don't usually do the traditional fir tree because my husband's allergic to fir trees so what we've done over the past is we've tried a couple of different artificial trees and we've never bee quite happy with the way that they looked so instead we use our trusted plant here. Now this plant lives in the living room all year round and we decorated it with our favorite Christmas bulbs as though it's a Christmas tree. Let me show you what we have on here. The majority of the things that I've used to decorate the tree are things that have some sentimental value. This ornament for example has a picture of my husband when he was in 2nd grade, this ornaments says "Merry Christmas 1980" and this was when my husband's family first went to Disney, and this ornament here is from the Guinness Factory in Ireland that we toured last year. Now decorating this tree has its advantages and disadvantages. It's definitely unique, people appreciate the uniqueness of it when they come over, but you can't fit as many ornaments on and you can't fit as many presents underneath of it. But since it's just my husband and I we found that this is a great, great way for us to decorate easily and inexpensively.
