I am debating whether to buy this or the latest Halo game. I like war games and the Call of Duty single player stories are great, but I hear that Halo's multiplayer is top notch. I'm not a huge gamer so I'm not really one to buy both cuz I'll never find the time to play both. Then again, maybe I'll just wait and play GTA IV when it comes out.
In my personal opinion, Call of Duty is far more interesting than Halo, storywise. Halo's online is definitely a fleshed out system, but Call of Duty is nothing to scoff at either, though I can see it growing older slightly faster than Halo. If you want to be able to quickly jump into games and play quick shootemups, then I recommend Halo, but if you prefer more warlike, slightly more realistic games that you may have to wait to spawn, then pick CoD4. You can't really go wrong with either game though, as both were considered the best games of last year.
Then again, GTA IV looks to be amazing, so I wouldn't be against saving for that either.
COD4 has a really fun single player game although it is pretty short (3-4 hrs), mind you the eye-candy is AMAZING. Halo 3 on the other hand probably has more replayability and a better community multiplayer. The single player story continues the Halo adventure although it's not the most stellar or involved as COD4. If you're looking for multiplayer I'd recommend Halo 3, if you're looking for a 3-4 hour movie in mindblowing graphics, COD4 (at least rent it for the single player campaign if you do end up getting Halo 3, it's one not to be missed)
I think with the type of gamer I am, COD4 is my game. I like shorter games because I actually feel like I accomplish something. Plus all the people I'd online game with are in a different time zone, so I usually end up playing at late hours.
Even though GTA IV is epic, it is still great cuz it can be played in short time frames. I have a friend who gets to review the new GTA game before it comes out. Rockstar is holing him up in a hotel for a week to play it under wraps. I'm so jealous.
well for starters they are some what alike but in the since every game out there that tries to mimic another there are going to be better thing about one game you like and another game you don't like like call of duty it is muliti player so is halo they both go online and they are shooting type of games but in my prefference i like call of duty due to the fact it is not hard to follow the story mode. and graphics a top notch. and playing on line is great for me i have played halo and didn't like it all that much what i would do.. go to your local game store like up here we have used game stores and if you ask them if you can test a game out if they are not busy with any customers they have hook ups in the back or in the front they will put the games on the system for you to play it is realy cool i thank god for them i almost bought a few dud games before there is also if they don't have the time just test drive the game if you don't like it bring it back for a refund they will exchange or give you your money back no problem if it is used game... sorry i couldn't help more it is realy hard to explain alot of games but what i know is call of duty is my preference.
Hey, I'm not a big gamer either, but I've got both games. If you like to get completely engrossed in the game, the answer is COD, hands down.
