Right here what I have is a Set Top DVD recorder. It's the DDR04 by Ilo, and it's a nice little recorder. And pretty much there's a lot of different options on this recorder here. And what it has, it has a Firewire input, which is different on a lot of recorders. You don't see that too much. And it also has your three RCA cables in the front so you can plug your camera into it. This one does only take DVD Plus R and Plus RW, which are a little bit harder to find, a little bit more expensive. It's the good thing about plus RW is that you can record thousands of times on it. It's like a VHS tape essentially would've worked. It has an RV connector in the back, and your other RCA jack, so you can pretty much run anything through it. And you can do a lot of really cool stuff with it. And I haven't had any trouble. The VCR was really easy to set on it, and there's a couple upgrades that you can download for firmware online and stuff. And you can get up to eight hours, I believe it was, on one DVD. Although the quality wasn't that great, but I usually leave it on the EP setting, which is like four hours and it looks just like TV. And it's truly amazing just to watch stuff back, and you can set it. It's almost like a little DVR. So it's a little DVD. I mean, it's great. It's the Ilo DVDR04 Home Set Top DVD Recorder. And Ilo is a pretty reputable brand. I mean, I picked it up at one of my local electronic stores for around $100. There's ones that go all to the way up a couple thousands dollars, but if you're just going to get something, I would recommend staying in the $100 to $200 range.
