Pros: It can work on a stuborn icy patch
Cons: It doesn't work very well, Too liquidy for a good coverage, Melted the ice then washed away & ice re-formed
Here's a product you spray on your sidewalks before a snowstorm to prevent ice from forming. It can also be used to instantly thaw ice, or so it says. It definitely thawed the ice where it was heavily poured, but then it refroze once the orange stuff washed away, usually within 10-15 minutes. It actually came with an electric sprayer that worked about as well as the de-icer did.
