    Infants Ibuprofen 50 mg per 1.25mL (1 fl oz), Health Care, Baby & Kids Just as good as Motrin, but much cheaper; this is concentrated drops, meaning that each there is 100 mg per 2.5 mL(1/2 teaspoon); children's liquid ibuprofen is 100 mg per 5 mL(1 teaspoon);

    Transcript of Video Review

    I would like to tell you today about the CVS brand of Infants Ibuprofen oral suspension and this 50 mg per 1.25mL or you can read it as 100 mg per 2.5mL. It's very important to realize that this is stronger than the Children's Ibuprofen. The Children's Ibuprofen is 100 mg per 5mL. This is 100 mg per 2.5mL. So this is twice as strong as the liquid the children's liquid. So if you're out of your children's liquid say you have an older child too and your other children's liquid and you normally give your child a teaspoon don't think you can give him a teaspoon of this because you can't. It's an overdose. So always read the amount of medication in this. Again it's right on here it's 50 mg per 1.25mL. You can also read it as 100 mg per 2.5mL. You look on the bottle again of the Children's it's 100 mg per 5mL. So this is twice as strong keep that in mind. Now that I've got the safety feature covered on here the CVS brand I feel is just as good as the brand name Ibupofen. Again it's concentrated. This is intended for children six months to 23 months. Don't give this to children under the age of six months. Then again the dosage amount is on here up to 23 months. There's a dropper that comes with this that does give the dosage amount on here. So the dropper has a marking on there for 1.25mL and 1.875mL. Those are the two dosage amounts that they give on here. So again this is concentrated drops. I do highly recommend it. Just remember this is twice as strong as the Children's oral suspension. So don't think that you can read for an older child that you have to always remember that you give them a certain dose that you can come grab this if you have some of this and give them the same amount because you can't. It's very dangerous. This is the CVS of Infants Ibuprofen and I do highly recommend it.
