10.2 inch DVD swivel screen that will lay flat on the body of the DVD player. Includes 2.5 hour battery, recharging jacks for auto and home. Sound was "tinny." While waching DVD's machine would stop, proceed frame by frame, play a while and repeat for process for the length of each movie. (DVD's were checked and played perfectly on non-portable unit.) Insignia NS-PDVD10 has several nice features but quality of sound and reliability aren't two of them. Available from Best Buy.

Hi I'm Sue. I would like to talk with you about this portable DVD player by Insignia. It's 10.2 inch screen so it's got a very large view screen on it. It's got an easy off And as you can see it s coming up right now. On this side is the volume button up and down. This is where you would put in your ear jacks on it. It has got a battery that you have to have plugged into the wall socket. You cannot be watching a video at the time while the battery recharges. And you may be able to hear it s kind of noisy as it's initially charging its self up. That does go away a little bit while you're viewing your video though. It's got a pretty clean surface on it. There's a few buttons. The menu on it and then the rest of it you can just work with on the screen. This got up and down toggle switches on it. You insert the DVD on this side. Just pop it in it starts to play. A few of the other -- oh it also has a jack that you can plug it in into your car or you can watch DVD just straight through an electrical outlet at your house so you don't have to use the battery all the time. One of the nice features on it you can turn this screen around. It will lay flat and you can watch it attach it to the back of the seat of a car have children watch as you're going down the road. A couple of the things that we do not care for on it is the sound. The sound is real teeny out of the speakers. If you're going to use the earphones obviously that's not going to matter so much to you. But again the sound is not the best on it it's real teeny. Another issue that we are real concerned about once you put your DVD in the -- watching a video that may be an hour and a half so far about 12 times during one particular video it will stop it will advance scene by scene by scene. Eventually stop back up again go a little bit further and do it all over. This happens not on one DVD but its happen on more than one DVD. And so it's just a problem with the Insignia itself. It's not a problem with the DVDs. When you put them in a regular player the standard one they don't have that issue. Overall it's got several good pluses about it. I would not recommend buying one. With the sound problem with the stopping and starting in the middle of the DVD I would not pay the money and they retail for about 199 dollars at Best Buy. And this is just something that's not worth the money.
