Is this the best Zelda of the Series?

mrmickeymousey posted on March 28, 2008 at 4:51 pm

I was wondering if this is the best Zelda of the series? I've played all the previous versions and have not bought this title yet...curious if its worth getting.

It's an absolutely fantastic game, but many wouldn't agree it's the best in the series. I don't think asking if it's the best and if it's worth getting are really fair questions. Personally, I believe Ocarina of Time is the best in the series but Zelda TP is close behind. The game plays a lot like OOT; almost exactly in fact. You go around to a dozen or so dungeons, solve their puzzles, talk to people and do silly side quests. There's no time gimmick like in Majora's Mask; there's no cel-shaded Link like in Wind Waker; it's the first game that's just like OOT, and it works out wonderfully. There honestly are very few problems with this game but they're all more than made up for by things the game does great.

Most people would probably bash TP for not doing anything incredibly innovative, but I think it suits the Zelda series just perfectly.

Get it!
