Hi Today I'm gonna be telling you about this JVC mini DV camcorder specific model number if you wanna look up at on line is GRDVP3U. So as you can see this thing is pretty small it takes many DV tapes and it records digitally and you can put that on your computer. So this has 10X optical zoom so the lenses are just zooming in and it goes up to 200X digital zoom and that is when the software is zooming in on the picture itself. So one of the problems with digital zoom is that it starts to get a little grainy but the optical zoom is very good. Also has low light settings and it actually has a built in light for recording in night time or in low light settings and those work pretty well in my opinion. But they aren't good as some of the other camcorders that I've seen so you wanna shop around if you are looking for that function specifically. As you can see there is a sliding little lens cap here that's pretty nice you don't have any lens cap flying around or something that you can clip in and I thought that was really convenient. Then there's a screen that pops out right here you can hear it turn on and this thing go all the way around. So you can see all its different functions there. One of the other down side is battery life you only get a few hours recording time out of one of each one of this batteries and replacements are over a 100 dollars so expect this to spend a lot on batteries if you're gonna be on a vacation recording a whole lot. So this product retails for 499 dollars I think for a mini DV camera it's actually pretty good it is nice and compact and it produces great video so if are in the market for one of this I definitely recommend checking this one out.
