Hi I'm Anna and this is my review of the movie Juno that is currently in theaters right now. This movie it's I have a lot to say about it. First of all I almost walked out in the first 20 30 minutes. My husband and I went on a date. I heard this was like a very culturally relevant movie and I really wanted to see it. It's an art film it was by the same I'm not sure if it's the producers or the same company that did Napoleon Dynamite which is one of my favorite movies. So I thought I would like it because of that. I also heard wonderful things about the soundtrack and had hesitated to buy the soundtrack until I'd seen the movie. So I had a couple of reasons to go see it. But in the first 20 or 30 minutes of the movie there was a ton of sexual references just overall inappropriateness gratuitous language that didn't need to be in it. I understand that they were trying to give us an idea of like this girl's life and what high school is like. As a mom it's terrifying; it made me think I'm not sending my kids at all to high school. But I understand why they thought they needed it in there. But then it got so much different towards the end of the movie that it felt really forced in the beginning; like they were just trying to dunk you submerge you in this girl's culture and I just didn't appreciate that. I really truly like at one point I actually grabbed my purse. It was like Okay the next time somebody cusses I'm walking out the door and it got better after that. So I hate at least the first 20 30 minutes. I would say go to this movie late. The girl's pregnant; you can figure that out. You don't need to see exactly how it happened; you don't need to see yeah there's a whole lot that just didn't need to be in there. But once you got past that first 20 or 30 minutes it was a very interesting movie. This girl is pregnant and she has to decide what to do with the baby and just all the real emotions that she goes through. Then the people like in her sphere of influence the people around her what they go through; it was very interesting to me. My husband felt like her parents under-reacted like that they didn't react hugely to her news. But I thought it was interesting just how different families deal with crisis. It was an interesting movie. Like I said go late; but otherwise it's interesting. I still am gonna give it one out of five stars maybe two out of five stars just because the language was really inappropriate. There were for a PG-13 movie it really just didn't need to be. But I know that's just how our society is lately with the movies and so that's hard. But if you wonder where the youth culture is of today I think in a lot of ways this is an accurate representation and that greatly greatly saddens me. So Juno; do not take your children; don't let your 16-year-old go see it by themselves. It's something you need to do as you know something where you can discuss it. But it was an interesting movie. So that's my review of Juno in theaters now.
