What's up Expo? The game I have here is Kill Zone for the PlayStation 2. This just came out this year. I know the second version's going to be coming out next year. It's a first person shooter. You can play with up to 4 people. It's obviously online capable, so that's really cool. So you can bring your PlayStation online, play with people all over the world. Really great graphics, really great AI interface also in this game. Some complaints that I have about the game is just a few of the weapons and the overall game play is really good though. The campaign mode, of course you play as either the ISA members, that'd be the good guys, or the Helghast, that's the bad guys. Basically it's a revolution v/s revolution kind of game. The Helghast want to take over every planet. Pretty cool. I would think it's kind of like Halo for PlayStation 2, because I know that Halo didn't come out onto this console yet. But overall really, really exciting first person shooter. So let's now take you through some of the game. All right so this is how the game starts. I'm doing a death match mode, so this is an offline game with the AI. I have 14 computers that I'm against. As you can see I'm just using the controllers like normal, forward on the stick. Here's a bad guy. I just picked up a weapon; so you can run up to them, aim at them and you just start shooting. Of course I just got hit by a shotgun, so that's not good but the graphics as you can see are pretty good for the time being, for the 14 players in this open end map that I'm at. This is called the Beachhead map, so this means it's kind of like you're an invasion force coming in to a Helgan base. Because it's death match it's every person for himself. So I have the default guns here, it's just a normal assault rifle kind of gun, the shotgun on the bottom, pretty cool. All right, so I just picked up the grenade launcher. Now the grenade launcher takes a little bit more precision to aim, to find the guy. There's a guy in there, so you got to aim a little higher than normal. But the big complaint I have about the sniper weapon in this game is that once you have it. Normally with the sniper weapons what you see in the center of the screen is what you'd be shooting at. But the way this one works is when you aim, you have to aim up and down the screen with the part, so as you can see the bulls eye moves around and it makes it a lot harder to actually shoot. That's the only complaint I have about the weapons in this game. So that's KillZone for PlayStation 2. On a five out of five scale I would totally give this five out of five. I believe this game is very important to the PlayStation 2. This is kind of like the Halo for the X-Box. I believe this is going to be something that PlayStation 2 can pivot on in order to get further into the first person shooter genre. I know in the fall KillZone 2 is going to be coming out, so you got to watch out for that. I'm sure the graphics will be a lot better and hopefully they'll add some vehicles that you can drive around and maybe some jeeps and tanks and what not. Right now in this one it doesn't have that because this is the original version. So that's KillZone for PlayStation 2. Very cool.
