This is my 250-watt KitchenAid classic mixer. I have had this mixer for six years now it has worked great since I got it it is the cheapest model you can get for the KitchenAid mixers and that works just fine. It just does not have quite as many features as some of the other more expensive models. You see this has got different settings: there is Off Stir then 2 4 6 8 and 10 and that gives you varying speeds. This plate in front comes off if you want to add different attachments. Now this did not come with any fancy attachments but if you wanted to buy them you could purchase them. This lever here either releases it so it will go off or when it is down you can lock it into place so it does not fly up if you are stirring with heavy bread dough or something like that. It came with three different attachments. The first is the whisk attachment- let me unlock that. They are very easy to put on - just put it on twist it and put it down. It came with a bread hook attachment and then there is just the all-purpose mixer. We are nearer so we can demonstrate how the mixer works. First make sure it is down before you turn it on and you can lock it on that side. Turn it on to Stir first now turn it on a little faster. It does shake around quite a bit when I am using it and that is one drawback and as you see this little pin here comes out sometimes I have got to put it back in when I am done. All in all this is a great mixer. It is worth the $160 we paid for it.
