This is my review of the KitchenAid. I have one. I've had it for about five years now and I love it. It was one of my wedding gifts and I made sure that my Mom got me this for a wedding present. And I like it for baking making bread cookies. It makes everything really easy. It makes homemade pancakes and it's wonderful. If you ever need to make anything you can always use your KitchenAid. I like it because it comes with a large bowl like this and it fits pretty much any amount of what I'm making unless I guess if it's a huge crowd. But my Mom has 10 children and so she used to have hers for a very long time. They last forever and the bowl has been big enough for her. So if it's more than 10 I couldn't really say. Anyways it just snaps in and out just like I showed you. The lever goes up and there's different utensils to put in here. Here are the big different attachments that they have. Here's the hook. It's for making bread. And other items like that. And it goes right in and you'd know when the bread is done if you add enough flour it's when the bread falls apart from the pan and just stays on the hook. So making bread is pretty easy. And then this one is for like doing cookies or your normal type of mixing. And then this goes like that. There's the last one which it's good for beating like if you have to make your eggs fluffy this works great you know. You just turn it on full blast and your eggs are nice and fluffy if you ever need to do that. This you can put on different attachments but you have to buy them. They have different stuff like pasta and even ground meat or they have like a cheese shredder. There's just different things you attach on here. I had used the cheese shredder and it really only takes a few minutes to shred like a whole block of cheese or well less than a few minutes like a few seconds. So it's really nice. I don't know what I would do if I live without it. I think it's a great product. If you like baking it's one of the best products out there for a mixer. I've used my friends mixers but none of them really compared to this one. And so I would recommend this.

With its ample dimensions and burly construction, this commercial 5-quart KitchenAid mixer is prepared to be a culinary beast of burden. Can any of the blades be used for making pie crust? (2 answers)

My main uses would be for making pizza and pie crust. Is the bread hook made also for pie dough or is it mainly just for bread dough? In other words, can one of the hooks be used in place of the pastry cutter? Thank you for your kind help. PI
