Hi everyone This is my review of the heavy duty KitchenAid Mixer. This particular model is the 5SSWW. One of the cons that I don't like about the model is this top does not flip up. It just pretty standing as it is right now. The bowl locks in place like this. You slide it on these little rivets pop it in place. This actually will rise up and down but I'm gonna leave it down until I put the mixers in. It comes with this two mixing pieces. This one can be used for breads and doughs. I'm gonna make cookie dough out of it so you can pop it on. The bowl is dishwasher safe but these insert pieces and the mixing... this one they recommend that you hand wash this so I don't recommend that you throw that in the dishwasher by any means. I may add my butter. One thing that I like about this mixer is from start to finish you don't have to switch mixers. If you've got something that you're starting like obviously I'm going to be mixing let butter or warm butter and that's very very easy to mix. I'm gonna add my egg to it and then you bring the bowl up lock it in place and then you see the numbers here you turn that on. This is very heavy duty really can handle anything you throw at it. That's one reason I like it. Another reason I like it is it has this piece in front that you can pop off and you can buy kits to go with your KitchenAid Mixer like this one I have the cheese grater. You can grate cheeses you can slice cheese hamburgers and you can even get an automatic food grinder that goes with it. It's really quite nice so you can have this one mixer that actually does a lot of slicing and grinding a lot of other things for your kitchen that makes the space that it takes up on the counter a lot more manageable because you know it does so many things. It's easy to use. I recommend it. I love it. It does so many things. It's dishwasher safe. I've never had at not able to make anything and I really really enjoy it. I'm gonna let you go with this mixing.

With its ample dimensions and burly construction, this commercial 5-quart KitchenAid mixer is prepared to be a culinary beast of burden. Smartly engineered so that the beater moves clockwise while the shaft moves counterclockwise, the beater reaches every part of the bowl without requiring it to...

Can any of the blades be used for making pie crust? (2 answers)

My main uses would be for making pizza and pie crust. Is the bread hook made also for pie dough or is it mainly just for bread dough? In other words, can one of the hooks be used in place of the pastry cutter? Thank you for your kind help. PI
