This is the Kitchen Aid Ice Cream Attachment for your Kitchen Aid Mixer. How it works is that you put this whole thing in the freezer for at least a day before you want to make an ice cream. It s got to stay in the freezer for a long time because the lows of these are actually pretty hollow and there's a little liquid inside of it. It freezes and stays really cold so after this has been in the freezer you take it out and you might want to use gloves because these things are really really cold. So take it out of the freezer you lock it onto the base of your Kitchen Aid Mixer and this comes with a book instruction on how to make different kinds of ice cream. So you put in the ingredients you put the top down and turn it on and it starts turning the ice cream. And then after about I don't know like 30 minutes you have your own home made ice cream. I've only used this once before and it works pretty well but the ice cream didn't taste that great which isn t' the products fault it s probably the recipe that I was following which was in the recipe book that came with the thing. So I don't know it was just for basic vanilla ice cream. I don't know maybe I messed it up. But you do to have some patient with this it does take longer than you didn't expect. And it is kind of hard to clean because even when you re done making ice cream it's still really cold. So yeah I have had this almost a year now and I only used it once. So maybe I'll find it up soon and try again. But if you already have a Kitchen Aid Mixer and you want to make your own home made ice cream buy this attachments makes it really simple and I do highly recommend it. Like I said it s the Kitchen Aid brand Ice Cream Maker Attachment.
