The Z1275 is a mediocre camera with some cool features. It can record in 720p, which is a very cool feature for this price.

Hey there Expo TV it s Conner once again. This time I have a review of the camera that I usually use to do reviews. Obviously I won t be using it right now. This is the Kodak EasyShare Z1275. It s actually a pretty cool camera. I got it for just $100 from woot.com. So some cool features: it s a 12 megapixel camera you see right there. It has a huge screen just an enormous screen on the back there and it can record in 720p. Some problems with it though it devoured batteries like no camera I ve ever used before and I can really only record for around ten to 15 minutes before it stops and needs to have new batteries so that s really just obnoxious and unnecessary. So there s analog and digital zoom and you see the can well first of all here we go again we ll look at the different things that happen and recorded on it and it has these buttons here on the front and delete or on the back I should say. This is for zoom this is for delete whatever you re looking at so I ll delete this actually. It has internal memory only around 60 megabytes 64 I think actually is exactly what it is so it s not really enough for common use. Over here it has a slot for an SD card and also it has this USB. This cable plugs in there plugs in the computer if you needed to do that or if you have an SD card reader you can just take the card out and plug that in and that s what I usually do. It uses this little wheel that is pretty much standard with the EasyShare cameras. You can tell it to go to video scenes and then you can pick what type of scene you re doing like if it s a nighttime portrait or anything like that and then there s just automatic mode which is what it s on now so you use it to take pictures like that and here we go and you can see it on the enormous screen here. If you go to the menu you can change the resolution of the pictures you re taking or the aspect ratio and what not. And if I switch it over to video you can go through the menu and change it from 320x240 all the way up to 1280x720 which is 720p so it s really cool. If you want a cheap camera that can record 720p this is pretty much your best option. One problem is that it does not have image stabilization so if you re going to be taking pictures usually you re gonna wanna use the flash so that it ll help your picture come out more clear. And all in all a very good camera for just $100. It might be harder to find under that price because it was woot.com so it was only a one-time offer so if you can find it for I wouldn t pay any more than $125 for this camera. It s not a great camera but it s a decent little simple point-and-shoot digital camera. Not great for recording because when it s recording it devours batteries. But on the other hand it records in 720p so it has its pros and cons. So I m gonna give it three out of five stars because of the ravenous way that it treats batteries. It takes AA batteries. You can use rechargeables which is what I do but also alkaline batteries work so a pretty decent camera. The flash works fine. Lack of image stabilization is one of the biggest problems. So yeah that s the Kodak EasyShare Z1275. Thanks.
