This is the Ames Kodiak Cub Shovel. It is well made, it's strong. It's got a good plastic handle, B ring type. Here, it's a tempered steel. What's great about it is that it is small enough to travel with you, to put in your vehicle to take camping with you. But it's still big enough to do the job. It can be used in tight spaces, say when you have to kneel and dig a hole in a restricted area, say by the side of your house when you're getting ready to put in a shrub. It's small enough that you can be on your hands and knees and digging out your car if you're silly enough to get stuck somewhere. But this shovel is big enough to do the job, and it is small enough that I would carry it with me when I'm camping and in vehicles as part of my standby emergency stuff, especially if I were going to a beach or some place where I knew I might encounter snow. This is a great little shovel. I like it, and when I got it, it was fairly inexpensive, roughly $8. This is a great bargain.
