I purchased this for myself because my laptop audio is a little bit soft when I want to watch DVDs on it if I'm on a room the big room or there's other noise going on the house or wherever I am watching these DVDs. And I needed something that I could plug into my laptop that would make the sound a little clearer for me or little louder and these weren't very expensive but they sure do the job. I like these because they're very lightweight. I mean they are really lightweight and they fit over my head very comfortably. On the side you can see these little pads right here. It's part of the head band actually but because it's also there it's easy grip and it's easy to adjust them to my ears. Also these have a fairly nice cord. I'm not going to strangle myself with it but the same time I don't feel like I'm leaning over into the laptop. Those are pretty much the features. The sound is clear and of course it does magnify the sound for me I am able to hear it better than just going out into the room. I think now looking back they weren't vey expensive at all and looking back I think if I were to get another pair for my laptop maybe I would have gotten a pair that was a little more compact and folded up somehow because when you move this down that's the smallest it gets and that's fine. It's just one feature that I didn't think of when I purchased these but for all practical purposes this little headset has done its job and it continues to do so and does it well.
